YAI Day Habilitation Center
- An existing 13,000 square foot warehouse and truck terminal were gut renovated and converted into a special needs Day Habilitation Center. The project included the development of an on-site parking lot and required the complete reorganization of exterior fenestration in synchronization with the new interior floor plan.
- Two banks of classrooms were placed between the facility's administrative suite and a large central multi-function room. Dedicated exterior entrances for public, staff and clients direct internal circulation to specific functional zones.
- Site specific challenges included the leveling of former truck bay floors and selective demolition and salvage of brick for stitching-in to other areas of the facade.
