- Situated in a partially below grade space, our primary concern was to ensure that the treatment suite communicated with the outdoors.
- Taking advantage of the need to construct a new barrier free ramp, our team carved out a garden patio area dedicated to dialysis patients and their families. This outdoor space provides a buffer from the street and allows light to flood the treatment space.
- Careful coordination of the infrastructure was dictated by a shallow ceiling plenum, which made the integration of mechanical, water treatment and emergency systems complex.
