Schnurmacher Lobby
- A Senior Care network charged us with upgrading the curb appeal of a Westchester Nursing Home. An implied vehicle turnaround was created by an inlaid brick medallion with the facility’s logo. Residential symbolism was introduced in the form of a new gable roofed canopy which also serves as a sheltering vehicle drop-off.
- To create the new lobby, several abutting offices were demolished, allowing light to flood into the space from two opposite facades. "Traffic flow" was redirected by relocating the entry vestibule and reception desks at opposite ends of a new axis.
- The centerpiece of the lobby is a circular colonnade which defines a multi-function resident lounge area fitted-out with a fireplace and "piano bar".
